Service Desk Specialist (Project-Based- Remote)

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly, reliable an enthusiastic and hardworking IT Professional to temporarily join our team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for customers, answering inquiries, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of IT experience including both technical and customer service experience. Key Responsibilities Daily, check for any customer issues with their on-site equipment. (Receivers, remote support PCs, and metering equipment). Log appropriate tickets in our service desk system Contact the customer to work on 1st call resolution Track and manage resolution that may take longer than 1 day to complete. Setup and configure new Wild Energy wireless radios for deployment to customers These devices are Linux based and require knowledge of the Linux operating system Deploy the Wild Energy custom code Test and package for shipment to new customers Will be required to perform network and connectivity troubleshooting. Will need to be able to remotely access our receivers using SSH Provide accurate responses to basic questions regarding services and equipment. Use Zoho system to log notes and update tickets for the team. Always maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor. Qualifications: Must be proficient in the English language, both written and spoken Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft OƯice tools including Work, Excel, and Outlook (email) web our client Must be proficient with the use of service desk ticketing systems. Previous use of Zoho Desk is a plus. Must have basic technology skills for troubleshooting network connectivity Must have familiarity with remote desktop tools for accessing other computers Familiar with electrical metering is a plus
