WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT We in Agricultural Solutions are preparing to be an independent, pure-play agricultural company within BASF group. To be ready for independence, we are looking for you to join us in our new Corporate roles (see here: build your career on our Standalone Transformation ). In your new position as an Indirect Tax Specialist, you execute last-mile localization of indirect tax requirements in complex markets and ensure full compliance with local regulations. Your expertise is in demand! You maintain comprehensive audit trails and evidence documentation, ensuring all indirect tax positions are properly substantiated and defensible. Together with your colleagues in Global Business Services, Controlling and Business units, you identify and resolve discrepancies in indirect tax matters efficiently and accurately. You implement regulatory changes by updating processes and controls, ensuring the organization stays ahead of evolving indirect tax legislation across multiple jurisdictions. Furthermore, you prepare well-founded responses to tax authorities and manage interactions during audits or inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Last but not least, you report progress, risks and issues to the group lead and relevant local tax leads, contributing to transparent and effective tax governance. WHAT YOU OFFER successfully completed degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field, ideally complemented by further qualification such as a tax advisor certification or equivalent at least eight years of professional experience in indirect tax compliance, preferably in an international or multi-jurisdictional corporate environment in-depth knowledge of VAT/GST and other indirect tax frameworks, including regulatory change management and audit defense processes fluent English skills as well as proficiency in SAP and standard MS Office applications; experience with tax technology tools is an advantage strong analytical thinking and solution orientation combined with effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures WHAT WE OFFER A dynamic work environment that empowers you to contribute your ideas, take ownership, and assume responsibility.
