Your future role on our team As Project Director in the Environment department, your work will include developing, coordinating and executing environmental studies, government approval applications and environmental site management projects. Manage and lead all steps required to carry out projects Understand the scope of your responsibilities and associated challenges Establish the tasks required to complete mandates and develop realistic and achievable budgets and schedules Coordinate a team of biologists and environmental technicians under your responsibility Serve as a liaison between the senior manager and team members to establish the schedule, the distribution of responsibilities and the allocation of human and financial resources, to request any clarification or additional information, and to report on work progress Develop work protocols and estimate time as well as direct and indirect costs Perform and coordinate field surveys, analyses and studies, sampling , report writing and client presentations Coordinate applications for government approvals and liaise with relevant authorities Plan and manage meetings both internally with team members and externally with other relevant stakeholders or contractors Monitor team member progress, assess their performance and motivate them, when necessary Ensure deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to, and notify the senior manager promptly to renegotiate, where necessary Serve as a mediator and resolve conflicts that may arise among team members and relevant subcontractors; where necessary, notify the immediate supervisor about it Produce documents (impact studies, surveys, inventories, reports , follow-ups , etc.) adapted to their intended clients
