Designer/Technician, Mechanical and Industrial Piping

Your future role on our team You’ll be part of our mechanical engineering team, which is involved in delivering many asset maintenance projects in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue mining sector. You may also be asked to provide remote support to our other regional offices in Labrador, Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and Sept-Îles, or to our Montréal or Mont-Saint-Hilaire offices, particularly for study projects related to major mandates in the mining, energy and heavy industry sectors. You’ll be based at our Rouyn-Noranda or Val-d’Or office, but you may be required to take short trips to our other offices in Eastern Canada. With us, you’ll get the opportunity to... Participate in preparing plans and specifications based on guidelines Under supervision, carry out the 3D design of equipment and mechanical layouts for all components Work with point clouds (3D scanning) Coordinate equipment layout with other disciplines, such as the Structural Engineering and Piping groups Produce 2D drawings of equipment developed in design and general layouts Prepare 2D drawings with full detailing (sizing, labels, text and notes) Participate in technical site surveys Ensure the quality of deliverables produced
