Junior EIT - Mechanical Engineer (Relocation to Sept-Îles)

Your future role on our team To support project and client development in the Sept-Îles region, BBA is seeking a candidate to the engineering profession in mechanical engineering to bolster its local multidisciplinary team. This team works closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal and Mont-Saint-Hilaire and contributes to regional development and delivering projects in the mining and metals and energy sectors. You'll also have the opportunity to be actively involved on project sites and client work sites. With a strategically located office close to our clients, you’ll have several opportunities to perform site surveys, provide technical assistance to local clients and participate in commissioning new equipment and systems while working on projects of all sizes. Prepare technical documents for mandates related to heavy mechanics, conveyors, pumping systems, grinding mills and metallurgical processes as well as engineering for mechanical services Perform detailed calculations under the supervision of experienced engineers Perform onsite technical information surveys Prepare material lists and bills of lading in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other established procedures and within BBA’s quality system requirements Assist more experienced personnel with the technical aspects of complex tasks Occasionally coordinate the work of drafters or others, at the request of a senior engineer Help write technical reports Assist the team with technical audits at work sites Help supervise the work and commissioning of designed systems Help prepare proposals Participate in various project phases, from studies and detailed engineering to site support and commissioning
