Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

Your future role on our team BBA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for mine process plants to support our continued growth in Central Canada. You’ll play a key role in all phases of engineering projects, from front end-studies through to field implementation with a focus on detailed engineering. Lead and participate in conceptual design studies, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies and detailed engineering projects Lead and participate in preparing plans and specifications and perform detailed engineering based on guidelines for mandates involving heavy machinery, conveyors, pump systems, crushers and metallurgical processes Perform various calculations for equipment sizing and design Supervise or carry out design calculations and ensure plans meet guidelines as well as legal and regulatory requirements Establish and maintain relationships with clients to define their needs Present technical information, concepts or study results Verify and produce files for tenders, specifications and other technical documents Assign and review the work of junior engineers (engineers-in-training), technicians and drafters assigned to projects and assess technical scope Coordinate the work of drafters or other employees, as requested by a senior engineer Ensure work complies with budgets, schedules, estimates and established procedures Assist more experienced personnel with the technical aspects of complex tasks Perform technical information surveys, when necessary On occasion, monitor contractors on site
