Digital Project Coordinator IT

JOB PURPOSE To act as the single-point coordinator for R&D digital and IT systems , ensuring seamless user experience and issue resolution by interfacing with R&D stakeholders and orchestrating backend IT infrastructure, PLM (Windchill), and vendor support teams. This role focuses on ownership, coordination, and delivery of outcomes , ensuring systems run effectively and R&D users are supported with minimal disruption. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 🔷 1. End-to-End Issue Ownership Act as SPOC for all IT and R&D digital system issues Own lifecycle from: Issue logging → tracking → resolution → closure Ensure no gaps between teams and complete closure within SLA 🔷 2. Business–IT Interface (R&D Focus) Work closely with R&D functions (PD, TD, QA, SCM, etc.) Understand user challenges and translate into: IT / PLM actionable requirements Ensure clear communication and expectation management 🔷 3. R&D Digital Systems Coordination Coordinate operations and support for: Windchill PLM Artwork Management systems MS Projects / NPD tools Track: Issues, enhancements, and change requests 🔷 4. Backend Team & Vendor Coordination Interface with: IT infrastructure teams (network, access, hardware) PLM support teams External vendors Drive issue resolution through follow-ups and escalations 🔷 5. Tracking, MIS & Governance Maintain: Issue logs, trackers, and SLA dashboards Generate: Basic MIS on system performance, issues, and usage Ensure: Documentation completeness and audit readiness 🔷 6. User Experience & Continuous Improvement Identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities Collaborate with IT/PLM teams to enhance: System usability Adoption and efficiency 🔷 7. Project & Change Support Support execution of: System upgrades Enhancements and change rollouts Coordinate UAT and user readiness activities EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS B.E / <B.Tech> / BSc (IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field) WORK EXPERIENCE 1–4 years of experience in: IT support / system coordination / PMO / PLM support roles PREFERRED / ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Basic understanding of: IT infrastructure and networking concepts PLM systems (Windchill preferred) Ticketing tools (ServiceNow or equivalent) Strong: Communication and stakeholder management skills Ownership mindset and problem-solving ability Exposure to: R&D / engineering systems (preferred but not mandatory) INTERNAL / EXTERNAL INTERFACE R&D Teams (PD, TD, QA, SCM) IT Infrastructure & Application Teams PLM Support Teams External Vendors / Implementation Partners BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES Think Beyond – Drives proactive problem resolution Collaborate to Win – Coordinates effectively across teams Be Agile – Responds quickly to dynamic issues Put Customers First – Focus on R&D user experience
