About The Role
Bruin Bodega is a student-run campus market opened in October 2025, spotlighting alumni-founded food brands, student consumer packaged goods, and products from local Nashville vendors including Mesa Komal (Conexion Americas). The Bodega is open to both the Belmont community and Nashville neighbors. Associates do not simply staff the store. They run it. Serve as an active member of one of five teams: Finance, Inventory, Marketing, Events, or Management. Placement is determined after the interview; applicants may indicate a preference. Finance: Track weekly sales performance, manage the store budget, and support pricing/markdown decisions. Inventory: Manage weekly buying for perishables and shelf-stable products, oversee vendor relationships, and track products. Marketing: Run the store marketing calendar across campus channels and track which efforts drive traffic. Events: Plan and execute in-store and on-campus events, coordinating logistics, vendors, and cross-team promotion. Management: Hold teams accountable, manage the staff schedule, and run store meetings. Assist with food service duties, including serving samples and operating the in-store scoop shop. Attend Monday staff meetings at 10:00 a.m. Attendance is required. Support daily operations (opening, closing, and in-store setup) Minimum 10 hours per week.
