Role Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Internal Audit team. You will lead audit assignments across warehouse and processing operations, conduct field visits near Pune and Kolhapur, and help strengthen financial, compliance, and operational controls. This role offers hands-on exposure to business operations, direct interaction with senior stakeholders, and significant responsibility from Day 1. If you are curious, analytical, and eager to understand how businesses work beyond the numbers, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Audits

Execute end-to-end audit assignments covering financial records, procurement, inventory, weighment operations, inward material controls, and dispatch processes — detecting inefficiencies and control gaps before they become losses.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

Design, implement, and continuously strengthen internal controls across procurement, inventory, weighment, stores, dispatch, and finance processes. Identify control gaps, operational inefficiencies, and leakage points, while driving process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, reliability, and profitability.

Compliance Management

  • Ensure adherence to applicable Indian regulations (GST preferably).

Audit Reporting

  • Prepare clear, well-structured audit reports; document findings with supporting evidence; track the implementation of recommendations and follow up on corrective actions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Stores, and Logistics teams to promote financial discipline, transparency, and a culture of accountability.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Finance, Accounts, Internal Audit, or Taxation.
  • Hands-on field audit exposure is mandatory - the candidate must have independently performed at least one of the following: physical stock verification, process audit or walkthrough, or vendor / payables audit
  • The candidate must be proficient in riding a two-wheeler and possess a valid driving license along with a personal vehicle.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office — strong working knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation, variance analysis)
  • Hands-on experience with Google Sheets for cloud-based collaboration and reporting
  • Working knowledge of accounting or ERP software — Zoho Books (preferred), Tally etc
  • Basic familiarity with AI LLMs such as ChatGPT or Gemini
  • Strong communication, Practical Thinking, Questioning Mindset, Integrity, and Interpersonal skills

Why This Role is Different

Scrap manufacturing is one of the most operationally rich and complex environments an early-career auditor can work in. No two days look the same. You will encounter material flows, informal supply chains, weighment controls, and ground-level discretion that no textbook prepares you for — and that most audit roles will not expose you to for years.

This role will sharpen your instincts, build your commercial judgement, and give you a depth of experience that sets you apart — wherever your career takes you next.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: As per industry standards
  • Accidental Insurance
  • Leave Policy: As per company norms

Hiring Process

  • Screening & HR Discussion
  • Interview with Hiring Managers
  • Mettl Assessment
  • Final Interview Round
  • Offer Rollout & Feedback
