To support our continued growth, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to play a key role in shaping the systems that enhance global security. Your role in our team As our new MAIT Electrical Engineer, you will support the manufacturing, integration, and maintenance of Power Satellite Test Systems (EGSE, SCOE, CCS) and related power hardware. Your work combines precision craftsmanship with technical problem-solving, ensuring reliable, high-quality electrical systems for satellite and space applications. You will join a skilled international and highly innovative team of engineers and technicians developing Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for satellite and flight hardware testing. The team values hands-on collaboration, precision, and continuous learning. During onboarding at Terma, you will receive thorough training in our systems and processes, with a strong focus on building new competencies and enhancing existing ones. You will work alongside highly motivated colleagues from diverse skill areas, contributing directly to the development and testing of satellite mission equipment. How you will make a meaningful contribution – your key responsibilities: Assembling, testing, and inspecting electronic assemblies, including PCBAs, harnesses, enclosures, and system-level hardware Performing device assembly and system/rack integration according to design documentation Implementing circuit workarounds and rework to support ongoing prototyping activities Maintaining the inventory database for hardware units and ensuring configuration traceability Supporting quality inspections and participating in root cause investigations as needed Ensuring ESD-safe practices and proper handling of hardware Complying with IPC certification standards Bring your world class expertise into play The ideal candidate is a motivated and detailed-oriented personality who takes pride in high-quality technical work. Required Expertise: A technical degree or apprenticeship in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Electromechanics; a degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field as well as an IPC certification e. g. IPC-A-610 or IPC-7711/7721 are an advantage, but not a requirement Experience in electronics assembly, integration, maintenance, and hardware modification/repair – including soldering, wire jumps, trace cuts, and component replacement – ideally within aerospace, defence, or high-reliability industries Proficient in using lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, power supplies; able to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and assembly drawings, and to build complete systems based on documentation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of adaptability and an interest in continuous improvement A collaborative, team-oriented working style combined with strong communication skills, enabling effective cooperation toward shared goals Proficient in English, both written and verbal: German skills – or the willingness to learn – are an advantage Beyond a role – what we offer At Terma, we prioritize the well-being of our employees, ensuring they are well taken care of.
