Installation & Commissioning (I&C) Engineer Installation & Commissioning (I&C) Engineer at SPX FLOW an ITT Company Location: Madrid, Spain SPX FLOW is looking for an experienced and hands-on Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join our global project execution team supporting complex Food & Nutrition processing projects across EMEA and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys international travel, on-site problem solving, and delivering high-impact industrial projects from installation through first production. About the Role As an I&C Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful installation, commissioning, and startup of process plants at customer sites. Depending on your experience and project scope, you may work as: Process Commissioning Engineer Commissioning Team Leader Site Manager You will work closely with customers, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary SPX FLOW teams while operating with a high level of autonomy on site. Key Responsibilities Process Commissioning Execute IQ/OQ/PQ activities Commission process equipment, instrumentation, and utilities Support plant startup, troubleshooting, testing, and performance validation Assist automation teams during software and functional testing Train customer operators and support production ramp-up Prepare commissioning reports and final documentation Commissioning Leadership Coordinate and lead commissioning teams on site Manage commissioning plans and schedules Ensure activities meet quality, safety, and timeline targets Support contractor coordination and H&S compliance Site Management Manage daily on-site operations and customer coordination Supervise subcontractors and SPX FLOW teams Ensure EH&S compliance and safe project execution Monitor schedules, materials, reporting, and documentation Lead daily site meetings and act as the primary on-site contact What We’re Looking For ✔ Experience in commissioning, process engineering, or industrial installation ✔ Background in Food, Dairy, Nutrition, Beverage, or Liquid Processing industries preferred ✔ Strong understanding of P&IDs, process equipment, utilities, and instrumentation ✔ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process systems ✔ Experience working in international project environments ✔ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills ✔ High safety awareness and commitment to EHS standards ✔ Fluent English communication skills Annual salary : 40,300 – 52,360 EUR, depending on experience and qualifications Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Dairy Technology, or related discipline Minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%) MS Office proficiency; MS Project knowledge is a plus For any questions, please feel free to reach out to the recruiter, Sebastien at About SPX FLOW an ITT Company SPX FLOW is a global leader in innovative process solutions with over 100 years of engineering excellence.
