Procurement & Subcontract Engineer

We are looking for a professional Procurement Subcontract Engineer who will take ownership of supplier deliveries within projects, bring strong technical and market insight to a defined product category, drive long-term strategies, and build lasting partnerships with key stakeholders. Your Tasks: Establishment of the procurement plan Active research and approach of possible subcontractors/suppliers according to projects needs Responsibility for the timely and cost-effective procurement of assigned deliveries of satellite units, subsystems, and services Management of subcontractor/supplier selection process -RFI, RFQ, RFP distribution and responsibility for the implementation of the Tender Evaluation Board Active participation in contract structuring and negotiations, including coordination of contract changes in collaboration with Project Controlling Contracts Monitoring and tracking of subcontractors performance regarding cost, quality, delivery timelines, and compliance with contractual and technical requirements Managing and leading the specific project reviews with subcontractors Collaboration with Project Controlling Contracts Manager with regard to reliable commitment recording, invoice approvals Responsibility for cost-compliant processing of deliveries: - Achievement of a stable contractual situation - Assessment of all critical contract changes and active participation in avoidance strategies - Knowledge of all Request For Waiver/Request For Deviation/Non-Conformance Reports and use in negotiations with the supplier if necessary Preparation, consolidation, and communication of procurement and supply status reports for internal stakeholders and customers Active management of all risks within the framework of its allocated deliveries including mitigation actions and definition of a financial risk reserve Close collaboration with engineering, project management, product assurance and quality departments to ensure adherence to technical, programmatic and quality requirements Export control management to proper handling of export-controlled or sensitive items in line with compliance requirements
