Laboratory Manager

Schedules, coordinates and monitors the day to day operational functions of all Laboratory sections except Microbiology. Implements quality standards and provides oversight of section processes to achieve excellent outcome and quality patient care. Performs Laboratory testing on patient and control samples, and/or prepares blood components for transfusion. Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures. This knowledge includes the use of specialized analytical instrumentation, clinical correlation of test results, quality control requirements, and preventative maintenance.
