Job Profile Maintenance Mechanic Working location: Starkville, MS General Description We are searching for Maintenance Mechanics for ANDRITZ to support the plant in our efforts to meet production goals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Must be able to perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine tasks on production and support equipment to include, but not limited to: >Hydraulic Systems >Pneumatic Systems >Mechanical Mechanisms >Basic HVAC Understanding >Heat Transfer Systems >Motor/Pump Alignment QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Associate Degree or Vocational Certificate in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent program 3-5 yrs industrial mfg. experience desired Languages: English Must pass drug screen and background check Stable work history Must be able to work any shift in a 24/7 operation Some lifting required Overtime and weekend work required Must pass hands-on skills test Must be able to lift 50 pounds Good communication skills Expected to set good examples in attendance, work, safety and housekeeping All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
