The Nurse Practitioner is prepared to deliver primary health care, including but not limited to: recognition and management of common illnesses and injuries in the Emergency Department setting, some of which may be determined by protocol; provision of care across the health care continuum with emphasis on the early detection and treatment of disease, as well as prevention.
