Summary The Welder 2 is responsible for performing quality welding of parts and fixtures in the railcar manufacturing process. This position visually inspects weld work, and repairs defective welds by fitting tank car parts into jigs and fixtures, performing complicated manual or semi-automatic arc welding and other welding processes to attach fixtures to a railcar using various equipment such as welding machines, torches, and hand tools.
