The Shipyard Test Organization is a learning organization that plans, prepares and executes complex testing on all non-nuclear systems through strict adherence to the policies and procedures that drive our Test Program. Our Test Directors abide by the nuclear watchstanding principles that have shaped our STO Pillars: Procedural Compliance, Ownership, Integrity, Level of Knowledge, Backup each other, Formality, and Planning. STO Test Directors complete a rigorous qualification program through provided schooling, hands-on application and troubleshooting on the deckplate, and a continued dedication to growth and proficiency within their role.
