Speech & Language Therapist

The Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) provides assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for patients of all ages with speech, language, communication, voice, cognitive-communicative, and swallowing disorders. Services are delivered across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain in accordance with Department of Health (DOH) standards, the Scope of Practice for Registered Speech and Language Therapists, and NMC ProVita International Medical Center (NMC PIMC) policies and procedures.

The SLT works as an autonomous practitioner managing a varied caseload, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to develop and implement individualized therapy programs that promote effective communication, safe swallowing, and improved quality of life.

A significant proportion of patients may be Arabic-speaking with English as an additional language; therefore, the SLT provides culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment and intervention in collaboration with families and caregivers.
