Short Description: Coherent is hiring a Patent Attorney to serve as the primary IP business partner for its PRC business units and global telecommunications and advanced optics product lines. The role will work closely with engineering, product, and commercial teams to identify patentable innovations, develop competitive patent strategies, conduct FTO analyses, and support monetization opportunities, while directing outside counsel on patent prosecution. The attorney will also act as the primary L&GA contact for IP matters in China, coordinating cross-functional legal support and helping manage PRC-specific IP, regulatory, and technology-transfer risks.
