HVAC Mechanic I

The HVAC Mechanic I provides general heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration maintenance, repair, and installation services for hospital facilities under the direction of engineering management. Examples include, but are not limited to: Chillers, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, air handlers, fans, variable frequency drives, air distribution systems including air balance and air exchanges for critical areas or isolation, refrigeration equipment, ice makers, medical gas systems, and building automation systems (BAS). The HVAC Mechanic performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, codes, building standards, and hospital policies.
