Overview Account Manager– Employee Benefits Location: (Remote / Hybrid / On-site – [Add details]) At Alera Group, our Employee Benefits team helps employers design, implement, and support programs that care for people and strengthen organizations. We’re seeking an Account Manager, Spending Accounts who will provide direct support in system setup and day-to-day service requests, ensuring a seamless client experience and operational accuracy. This role will focus on supporting spending account (FSA/HSA/HRA and related) clients through implementation setup, routine service requests, and basic issue resolution—while maintaining accurate records and partnering closely with Onboarding, Client Success, and internal operations teams. Responsibilities What You’ll Do / Your Impact Client Partnership & Risk Strategy Support clients with renewals, claims coordination, policy analysis, and benefit program execution for large, complex employer groups Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely service delivery Contribute to client retention and growth initiatives by supporting Account Executives and maintaining strong client relationships Operational Excellence Maintain documentation in agency management systems and benefits administration platforms Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accuracy of benefit materials, contracts, and communications Support audits, reporting, and internal quality control processes to uphold Enterprise service standards Strategic Contribution Assist in identifying coverage gaps, plan enhancements, and risk mitigation strategies for large group clients Partner on new business opportunities, including RFP coordination, proposal development, and implementation support Qualifications What You Bring Required 1–3+ years of experience in employee benefits, health insurance, or related client service function Experience in client service, consulting support, or benefits administration Strong communication and relationship management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Preferred Experience with benefits administration systems, carrier portals, and agency management tools Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Professional certifications such as CEBS or Life & Health License (or ability to obtain) Core Competencies Detail orientation Accountability and follow-through Collaborative mindset Client-first thinking Benefits and EEO Language Compensation: Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000 per yearEligible for performance-based bonus: [Yes/No – if applicable] Benefits: Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, 401(k), generous PTO, and more.
