About The Role
Account Manager Siegwerk is seeking a strong sales candidate to join our organization as the point person for Customer Accounts in the Midwest Region. The goal of the position is to directly improve throughput by implementing strategic selling processes in a manner that results in an efficient & successful sales process. Job Responsibilities Acts as point person for Customer Accounts within Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana. Coordinates the needs of the Account by providing service or acquiring the resources to meet the Account’s needs. Conducts Customer visits to learn the needs analyses through discussions, observations, and other means within existing Customer sites. Develops and strengthens Customer relationships between Siegwerk and the Customers. Provides clear, accurate and complete information, outlining potential sales opportunities to the Sales support team and provides input to the Regional Manager regarding the sales opportunities. Applies strategic selling tactics: assesses buying influences (e.g. economic, technical, user, coach) and their degree of influence. Works through or manages the concerns/issues of buying influences, such that the sales “window of opportunity” remains open to Siegwerk Ink. Organizes and creates a Call list of potential Customers through-out your area for new opportunities. Organizes and facilitates product trials at Customer’s plants utilizing our support groups. Supports Siegwerk's "Safety First – It Starts With Me" philosophy by making safe, environmentally responsible, and compliant decisions every day. Follows all company policies, procedures, safety rules, environmental requirements, permit obligations, and job instructions. Promptly reports unsafe conditions, injuries, illnesses, near misses, spills, releases, environmental concerns, and compliance issues. Participates in required safety, environmental, hazardous waste, emergency response, and compliance training. Supports compliance with applicable environmental programs, including hazardous waste management, stormwater protection, air emissions control, chemical management, pollution prevention, and waste disposal requirements. Maintains good housekeeping practices and helps protect employees, contractors, property, the community, and the environment through active participation in inspections, audits, and continuous improvement activities. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree Preferred with a minimum of 2-year sales related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical experience within the printing industry is preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the following skills, knowledge, and abilities: Ability to travel- Driving and some Air travel Must be self-motivator with ability to organize a weekly schedule. Ability to influence and persuade through effective use of language and oral presentations. Ability to respond to questions from groups of organization employees, organization management and customers. Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen customer relationships. Basic Computer skills to include: Microsoft Excel , Word, and Dynamics. Basic working knowledge of Printing processes to include: Flexographic, Rotogravure, and Offset (optional). Understanding: (a) printing station configuration and mechanical function of each component; (b) ability to recognize basic printing problems; (c) understands basic printing terminology. Basic understanding of press side Fluid ink handling to include: (a) viscosity importance and measuring tools; (b) Water and UV base mechanical handling; (c) comprehension of basic chemistry differences between Water and UV base ink systems.
