About The Role

The ASL/English Interpreter Mentor provides guidance, coaching, and professional development support to interpreters seeking to improve their linguistic, ethical, cultural, and professional competencies. The mentor works collaboratively with novice, developing, and experienced interpreters to strengthen interpreting skills, increase confidence, and promote adherence to professional standards and best practices. The mentor conducts comprehensive assessments, facilitates individual mentoring sessions, and provides performance feedback. The mentor may also develop and deliver training opportunities as requested and as resources permit. Must have evening availability.
