About The Role

Provides administrative support to Valley Medical Group Chair's in Cardiovascular Service Line, Medical Director for Cardiac Imaging, AVP Cardiology, and VMG Service Line Director. Works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to promote, coordinate, and support the service lines. Facilitates the administration process of departmental activities (e.g., compiling and monitoring the master schedule for meetings; organizing and coordinating seminars, training programs, prepares monthly standard reports and other related activities). Assist with candidate interviews and job posting processes.

Education

Associate's degree in office management, Business Administration, Secretarial Science or related field of study.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of administrative secretarial experience, preferably in health care administration.

Skills

  • Superior organizational skills. Superior interactive and communication skills (oral, writing, presentation) to effectively interact and communicate with customers to meet their needs. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Familiar with Internet applications, data searching and analyses.

Extensive organizational skills; effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills with community members. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines, as well as multi-task. Candidate must be able to work effectively in an environment of changing priorities on a daily basis and demonstrates high level of integrity working with patients. Must be self-directed, demonstrate initiative and understanding of priorities. Requires exceptional organizational, communication and customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and cooperation of peers. Administrative support experience of increasing variety and/or complexity and demonstration of work leadership. Requires minimal exertion, a variety of sitting with intermittent standing and walking. Intensive visual concentration, computer usage, reading, etc. Requires intensive concentration to absorb and disseminate a large quantity of work and information.
