DESCRIPTION

We are looking for Psychiatry board-certified MDs and DOs to serve as Supervising Physicians (SP’s) for our psychiatry-certified advanced practice practitioners (APPs) in Florida.

SP’s collaborate mostly asynchronously with their assigned delegates to conduct patient chart reviews, delegate prescriptive authority, etc. Furthermore, the SP must fulfill any federal/state/payor-specific requirements as a supervisor such as attendance in monthly meetings, etc.

The role requires confidence in clinical decision-making while adhering to evidence-based clinical guidelines. Our in-house electronic health record (EHR) makes documentation and chart review easy.

Pay is based on the number of delegates the Psychiatrist supervises. Malpractice with tail is also provided. The number of hours dedicated to this role will vary based on the number of delegates assigned at any given time.

Supervision will require a full, unrestricted DEA in FL and CA.

A PC with Windows PRO or a Mac newer than 2019 is required

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Employ high-quality, independent medical judgment while overseeing the care provided by your delegates within our medical group

Agree to supervise a minimum of 4 Psychiatric NP’s

Be comfortable with supervising care provided to all of our patients along our service lines. This includes a wide variety of typical primary care complaints, as well as a high volume of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD

Provide constructive feedback to your delegates regarding patient care and charting

Guide your delegates on an as-needed basis if they have any clinical concerns or questions

Voice clinical or other professional concerns related to your delegates to Circle Medical Clinical Leadership on a case-by-case basis as they arise

Perform clinical note reviews on at least 5% of your delegates’ clinical notes monthly

Meet with your delegates via video or telephone conferencing at least once monthly (can be a group meeting, does not need to be 1:1), more frequently if required by local state or other authorities, and SPs create a written record of the occurrence and attendance of the meetings

Supply prompt responses to credentialing and enrollment requests from Circle Medical administration

Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

Graduation from an accredited MD/DO program

Board-Certified in Psychiatry & Neurology

  • Two years post-residency practice experience is strongly preferred; 3-5+ years is ideal
  • Ideal candidates will have experience as a Psychiatrist in an outpatient, continuity-of-care clinical setting
  • Although telemedicine experience is not required, it is preferred
