The University Inn Best Western Plus in Moscow, Idaho is looking for a driven and experienced Restaurant Manager. This role is ideal for someone who leads from the floor, builds strong teams, and takes pride in providing memorable guest experiences.
Essential Functions
- The Restaurant Manager manages all aspects of the employee life cycle, including
- interviewing, selection, hiring, training, performance management documentation, and
- termination.
- The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the financial performance of the restaurant,
meeting targeted sales and budgeted profits on a monthly basis.
- The Restaurant Manager ensures superior service levels in the restaurant, addressing
- performance issues and responding to and resolving guest complaints in a timely
- manner.
- The Restaurant Manager develops the team and fosters an environment where team
members can succeed and grow their careers.
- The Restaurant Manager writes schedules according to the weekly forecast and business
- needs to ensure every guest receives an outstanding experience. The Restaurant
- Manager rewards the team for exceptional results and great guest feedback and
- celebrates accomplishments with the team.
- The Restaurant Manager attends weekly staff meetings and communicates updates to
the rest of the team.
- The Restaurant Manager collaborates with Marketing, Accounting, Engineering, and the
sales team to address any issues or opportunities in the restaurant.
- The Restaurant Manager reports to the Hotel General Manager.

- Full-time employees are offered these benefits on the first of the month following 60 days of
employment.
- Access to a medical clinic with no co-pay, exclusive to team members with benefit coverage
(must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week. Located in CDA)
- Variable-hour team members may be eligible 12 months after their date of hire, with supervisor
approval, provided they have averaged 30+ hours per week throughout their first year.
401K Plan
- Team members are eligible to participate at the age of 21 or greater, on the first of the month
following 60 days of employment.
- 50% match up to a 4% contribution from the team member.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
- 6 months of employment (averaging 28 hours per week): 7 PTO days.
- 1 year of employment (averaging 28 hours per week): 10 PTO days.
- 2–4 years of employment (averaging 28 hours per week): 15 PTO days (1,456 hours).
- 5+ years of employment (averaging 23 hours per week): 20 PTO days (1,200 hours).
Holiday Pay
- Hourly team members who work on Thanksgiving and Christmas will be paid their wage at time
and a half.
