About The Role

Role Summary

The Brand Development Lead is responsible for the end-to-end growth of a set of apparel brands at CrepDog Crew. This is a hands-on role focused on execution, inventory intelligence, launch planning, and retail performance, not just strategy decks.

You are the brand’s growth partner inside CDC — responsible for making sure the brand sells better, scales smarter, and improves every cycle.

Core Responsibilities

Brand Growth & Nurturing

  • Own the growth journey of assigned apparel brands across CDC’s offline and online ecosystem.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for brands, guiding them on how to perform better within CDC.
  • Help brands evolve their product mix, pricing, storytelling, and drops based on CDC customer behaviour.

Launch Planning & Inventory Readiness

  • Ensure the right inventory is at the right store at the right time, especially around launches and high-intent periods.
  • Work closely with brands to plan quantities, size curves, replenishment cycles, and delivery timelines.
  • Proactively flag under-stocking, over-stocking, or mismatches between demand and supply.
  • Make sure launches don’t fail due to poor inventory planning or delayed supply.

Retail Performance Ownership

  • Track store-wise and brand-wise performance and identify gaps in sell-through.
  • Coordinate with retail merchandising to improve placements, refills, and in-store visibility.
  • Take responsibility for improving weak-performing SKUs or collections through corrective actions.
  • Execution > Strategy
  • Translate insights into action — launches, refills, edits, markdown decisions, and re-merchandising.
  • Be on the ground with stores and teams, not just on calls and sheets.
  • Ensure brands move from being reactive to well-planned and predictable performers.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Retail Merchandising, Marketing, and the Apparel Division leadership to align launches and inventory.
  • Act as the bridge between brands and internal CDC teams.

What Success Looks Like

  • Brands you manage consistently grow month-on-month.
  • Fewer missed launches, fewer stockouts, fewer unsold piles.
  • Brands become better planners because of CDC’s guidance.
  • CDC stores see stronger apparel contribution from your brands.

Profile We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of apparel retail (inventory, sell-through, sizing, refills).
  • Execution-first mindset — comfortable owning outcomes, not just plans.
  • Confident communicator who can guide brands without being aggressive.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, founder-led environment.
