Logistics Executive - Deepak Advanced Materials Ltd

Role Objective: To manage outbound logistics operations efficiently, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and adherence to compliance and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Support the Lead Logistics in executing outbound logistics strategies. Coordinate logistics operations including transportation, forwarding, import/export, and freight management. Supervise and track logistics activities to ensure smooth operations. Audit freight bills for accuracy and compliance with contractual terms. Collaborate with departments such as Operations, Engineering, Security, and Marketing for effective loading/unloading. Negotiate with suppliers, transporters, and customers to enhance supply chain efficiency and sustainability. Analyze logistics data to identify cost-effective transportation methods. Monitor inbound and outbound truck and material movements. Ensure all materials are properly documented with ERP codes and details. Address and resolve setup errors and missed pickups promptly. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Turnaround Time (TAT) On-Time In-Full (OTIF) Delivery Transportation Cost Savings (%) Logistics Cost as a % of Sales (MoM/YoY) Billing Accuracy Internal Interactions: Stores Procurement Production External Interactions: Transporters Vendors Qualifications & Experience: Education: Any Graduate Experience: 3-5 years in logistics or supply chain management Geographical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian transportation routes and geography Required Exposure: Inventory Management Internal & External Audits Desired Exposure: Negotiation & Contract Management LIFO/FIFO Inventory Systems Skills & Competencies: Invoicing and auditing practices Legal and compliance knowledge (domestic & international) Inventory and stock management principles Production and warehouse management understanding Resource planning and automation systems Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems Knowledge of taxation, permits, and product classification (slow, non-moving, fast-moving goods) Strong grasp of logistics management and distribution channels
