Field Operator - DNL DHJ

Role Purpose To operate, monitor, and control hydrogenation plant operations while ensuring safety, product quality, and compliance with operational and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Plant Operations Operate hydrogenation reactors, filtration systems, and distillation units Monitor key process parameters like temperature, pressure, hydrogen flow, and reaction time Execute charging, reaction monitoring, and discharge as per SOPs Coordinate with DCS/control room for smooth operations 2. Hydrogen Handling & Safety Handle hydrogen systems including cylinders, pipelines, and compressors Ensure safe purging, inerting, and leak detection practices Adhere strictly to safety protocols for flammable gases Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately 3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform first-level troubleshooting of equipment Support preventive maintenance activities Coordinate with engineering, electrical, and utility teams 4. Quality & Compliance Maintain process parameters as per SOPs Conduct sampling for distillation, effluent, and crystallization processes Ensure zero contamination in processes Follow MSDS and emergency response procedures 5. Safety & Documentation Maintain safe working practices and housekeeping Issue work permits and ensure safe execution Report near misses, incidents, and abnormalities Maintain operational records and logs Required Qualifications & Experience: Diploma in Chemical Engineering: 4-6 years experience OR B.E. Chemical Engineering: 2-4 years experience Experience in hydrogenation process plants is mandatory Technical Competencies Knowledge of unit operations & chemical processes Understanding of hydrogenation reactions Familiarity with distillation, crystallization, and nitration processes Knowledge of pumps, vacuum systems, and process instrumentation Behavioral Competencies Strong safety mindset Team collaboration & communication skills Problem-solving ability Discipline and adherence to SOPs
