We are now looking for someone to take the lead in our continuous development within the area of sustainability in the position as Head of Sustainable Business. In this key role, you develop and implement a global sustainability strategy for Sandvik, including goals and targets, to ensure that the Sustainable Business framework is a business advantage for our organization. As Head of Sustainable Business, you report to the Executive Vice President and General Counsel. The location for this position is Stockholm and some travel is a natural part of this position. Your mission – To successfully develop and set the direction for our sustainable business In this position, your main responsibilities are to develop a sustainability strategy for the whole Sandvik Group. You coach, and work closely with, experts within the business of each Business Area and Product Area to ensure alignment in this changing and demanding landscape. With key focus Governance, Partners, Environmental Footprint and People – all of which have an impact on the framework - you cooperate closely with both these areas and related areas, to ensure we are driving the right activities and generating awareness and ways of doing business to achieve the best effect. You analyze, plan, coordinate, execute and communicate Sandvik’s Sustainability program and advise the organization on how to improve the performance of business operations and processes related to sustainability. You further ensure that sustainability aspects are included in relevant policy and strategy documents, including inclusion of information required by Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), UN Global Compact, FSTE4Good and other relevant indices. You also issue a sustainability report and sustainability input to the Annual report. Another key aspect of your job is to ensure constructive and transparent dialogues with investors, customers, peers and other relevant stakeholders, and making sure that key stakeholders and DJSI, FSTE4Good and other relevant entities receive the correct information. Furthermore, you assist Group Communication in managing media coverage on sustainability. Your character – An inspiring leader who stands for change and progress We are looking for someone with a relevant Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, International Relations or related areas such as human rights, labor conditions, environment, anti-corruption and corporate governance. A Master’s degree within any of these areas is considered advantageous. You have at least ten years’ experience of directly related work and profound theoretical and practical knowledge of sustainability. Experience from working in a large international company, preferably in other countries, is necessary to succeed in this position. A sustainability audit certification such as Fair Labor Association, SA 8000 or AccountAbility (AA1000) is considered advantageous.
