Starting Pigs Specialist

Starting Pig Specialist will work with farm staff during the nursery stage of production in wean to finish production sites.

Responsibilities & Duties

 Train & assist farm staff during the nursery stage of production

• o Preplacement site inspections
• o Initial stocking plans
• o Sorting & Treating
• o Mat & Gruel Feeding
•  Ability to troubleshoot & adjust heating & ventilation systems.
•  Assessing health issues and the ability to perform on farm diagnostics

Requirements

•  Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
•  Excellent organizational & time management skills.
•  Prior swine management experience.
•  Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
•  Travel – across Iowa with possible overnight stays
