About the Role

We are looking for a Senior CAD Drawing Checker to ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of mechanical design solutions . In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, approving, and validating CAD data , supporting engineering reviews , and driving process improvements across projects. You will play a key role in ensuring design integrity and mentoring junior team members while working with a cross-functional global network .

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate technical solutions in mechanical design based on function, style, geometry, cost, quality, and regulations.

  • Lead design check activities across projects, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Review and approve Design Change Notices (DCN) for accuracy and technical feasibility.
  • Support pre-checking and technical reviews of engineering solutions.
  • Approve, support, and release quality-assured CAD data in CAD systems.
  • Define frameworks and guidelines for design engineers, ensuring compliance with standards and conducting quality audits .
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the competence of designers and checkers .
  • Work with local and global cross-functional teams , leading regional checker networks to implement process improvements and standard updates.

Qualifications & Experience

  • -
  • Advanced knowledge in mechanical design and CAD checking , gained through education and work experience.
  • Strong expertise in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Creo, Siemens NX, or similar) .
  • Experience in design validation, quality assurance, and engineering change management .
  • Ability to mentor and support junior engineers , sharing knowledge as a trainer or coach .
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and process improvement mindset .
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders within the organization.
  • Familiarity with automotive, industrial, or manufacturing engineering standards .
