Your impact in this role
As a DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) , your mission is to ensure that aedifion's infrastructure and platform runs stably, scalably, and securely. You combine deep infrastructure expertise with a proactive mindset for security and automation, and together with our Senior DevOps Engineer, you play a key role in enabling development teams to work quickly and reliably — without infrastructure bottlenecks.
What to expect
- Infrastructure Ownership: Take full ownership of the availability, scaling, and performance of the European cloud environment — including planning and executing updates, maintenance windows, and system upgrades in coordination with all stakeholders.
- Kubernetes & Platform Operations: Continuously operate and evolve the Kubernetes environment (k3s, Rancher) — including container management, networking (Cilium/CNI), and ensuring stability and scalability.
- Automation & IaC: Develop and maintain Terraform modules and Tanka/Jsonnet configurations, and systematically drive the automation of provisioning and deployment processes to sustainably reduce manual effort.
- CI/CD Optimization: Optimize and maintain GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and accelerate build and deployment processes for secure, reproducible deliveries.
- Monitoring & Observability: Continuously evolve the existing monitoring (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana) and observability landscape, define meaningful metrics and alerting strategies, and create proactive transparency about system states for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Security Management: Develop and implement secure base images, firewall rules, and network security concepts, and support penetration tests from preparation through to the sustainable resolution of findings.
