Responsibilities

• Greeting customers : Welcome guests and seat them

• Taking orders : Input orders into the POS system and relay them to the kitchen
• -
• Serving food and drinks : Deliver food and drinks to customers in a timely manner
• -
• Ensuring customer satisfaction : Check on customers throughout their meal and address special requests
• -
• Handling payments : Accept cash or card payments and deliver checks
• -
• Maintaining a clean work area : Keep the dining area clean and tidy
• -
• Collaborating with kitchen and staff : Communicate with kitchen staff and cooperate with other serving staff
• Additional duties

• Setting and arranging tables
• Presenting menus and beverage lists
• Opening bottles and pouring beverages
• Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to kitchen
• Making recommendations based on guest questions and preferences
• Up-selling when appropriate
• Adhering to all relevant health department rules and regulations
