Responsabilities

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's compliance framework (excluding export control matters, but coordination with our export control specialist is required).
  • Coordinate external consultants and internal stakeholders involved in compliance-related projects and initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain and update compliance policies, procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the company.
  • Design and deliver internal compliance awareness and training programs.
  • Act as a point of contact for compliance-related requests from customers, investors, partners and public authorities.
  • Support commercial, investor and partnership discussions by reviewing and negotiating compliance-related commitments and obligations.
  • Establish and maintain a centralized process to track, monitor and coordinate the company's recurring corporate governance obligations, including investor reporting and information rights commitments.
  • Ensure timely completion of governance, compliance and reporting deliverables by coordinating relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to compliance due diligence exercises, audits, fundraising processes and other strategic corporate transactions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Law, Compliance, Corporate Governance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in compliance, corporate governance, legal operations, regulatory affairs or a related function.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience drafting, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures and compliance programs.
  • Experience interacting with external stakeholders such as regulators, auditors or consultants.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience using legal technology, contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and AI-enabled productivity tools.

Nice to have

  • Professional working proficiency in French.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup, scale-up or deeptech environment.
  • Experience supporting companies undergoing investor due diligence, fundraising processes or audits.
  • Exposure to international compliance frameworks and multi-jurisdictional environments.
  • Familiarity with data protection and privacy programs.
  • Professional certifications in compliance, governance or project management.
  • Interest in science, technology and innovation-driven organizations.
