About The Role

About the company

Many people associate agriculture with soil, animals, and food production. In Mimiro we also think about data. Mimiro develops technology that helps farmers, advisors, and industry players make better decisions. Drawing on more than 125 years of production data, modern software, and new AI-based solutions, we have built a unique position at the intersection of technology and one of Norway’s most important industries.

Today, solutions built on data managed through Mimiro are used by nearly all Norwegian dairy producers. But what makes us attractive is not only our history — it is the opportunity ahead. In recent years, we have modernized our platforms, aligned the organization around a clear strategy, and built a stronger foundation for further growth.

Data Scientist

Now we're looking for another data scientist to help us solve even more problems for farmers and the industry. Running a farm is challenging both time- and money-wise, and through smart use of data you can help bring value to the agricultural community:

  • How do I optimize the harvest of my crops?
  • How can I feed my cows for the optimal quality of meat and milk?
  • When should I slaughter my cows to optimize my income?
  • How can I make my farming more sustainable?
  • How can I adjust my workday to have more time with my family?

Preferably you have a background in agriculture, either in agronomy, animal husbandry or both, and are a strong problem solver who knows how to code. If you tick off the boxes below, we would love to receive an application from you:

  • Background in the agriculture sector, either hands-on or academic
  • Problem solver with an analytical approach
  • Academic background from statistics, mathematics, physics, informatics or similar
  • Programming experience in e.g. Python and SQL
  • Used to working with large amounts of data
  • Comfortable building models and applying machine learning
  • Comfortable interacting with developers and data engineers to solve problems at hand
  • Relevant work experience is a plus, but a recent graduate who gets things done is just as welcome
  • Do you want to make a difference? Submit your application, and maybe we'll meet over a cup of coffee to discuss how you can help Norwegian agriculture.
  • Application deadline: August 15th 2026
