Senior Clojure Developer – Public Sector Solutions
Are you an experienced Clojure developer who thrives in complex, high-impact environments?
At Twoday, we are looking for a senior developer to join a project within the public sector, where you will contribute to building and maintaining critical digital solutions used by thousands of citizens.
About the role
You will become part of a highly skilled development team working onsite in Copenhagen on business-critical systems with high demands for stability, security, and long-term maintainability.
The role involves both developing new functionality and improving existing solutions, often in collaboration with architects, domain experts, and other developers. You will work in an environment where quality, documentation, and structured development are essential.
Your responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Clojure
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions
- Build and maintain robust, scalable backend services
- Work with APIs and integrations across complex system landscapes
- Ensure high code quality, testability, and maintainability
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an agile setup
We expect that you
- Have several years of experience working with Clojure (senior level)
- Have a strong background in backend development and functional programming
- Are comfortable working with complex, distributed systems
- Have experience with APIs, integrations, and data-heavy solutions
- Understand the importance of documentation, testing, and stable operations
- Thrive in agile development environments
- Fluent Danish is required
- It is an advantage if you have experience working in regulated environments or with public sector solutions.
