Flight Paramedic – Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP)

High Level & Fort Vermilion, Northern Alberta

Full-Time | Part-Time | Casual

7 Days On / 14 Days Off | 12-Hour Shifts

CanWest Air is growing and we are looking for experienced, motivated, and team-oriented Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP) to join our expanding Air Ambulance program in Northern Alberta.

Operating from bases in High Level and Fort Vermilion , our Flight Paramedics provide emergency and interfacility transport to remote and underserved communities across the region. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic aviation environment while practicing advanced medicine alongside a supportive and evolving team.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide patient care within ACP scope of practice and Alberta Medical Control Protocols (MCPs)
  • Deliver emergency and interfacility air medical transport throughout Northern Alberta
  • Work collaboratively with Pilots, Communications, Medical Oversight, and allied healthcare teams
  • Participate in a growing critical care and air medical transport environment
  • Operate safely and professionally in a dynamic aviation setting

Required Qualifications

  • Active ACP registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics
  • Current PALS
  • Valid Class 4 Driver’s License
  • Professional Liability Insurance ($5,000,000 minimum)
  • Ability to work safely and effectively within an aviation environment
