About The Role

CNC Manufacturing Programmer & Precision Machinist

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Location: 1st Shift

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with Saturdays from 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM as needed (approximately 56 hours per week)
  • Starting Pay:$27.00/hour (Compensation may be higher based on experience.)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Manufacturing Programmer & Precision Machinist to support the production of industrial components and equipment. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining centers while producing precision parts that meet demanding quality standards.

The ideal candidate is experienced in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and precision machining, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret machining blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and milling machines.
  • Create and edit G-code programs to support machining operations.
  • Work with CNC controls such as Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain (experience with every control is not required).
  • Machine parts to close tolerances, including measurements as precise as 0.0005 inch .
  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment.
  • Use tools such as:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Dial bore gauges
  • Produce accurate, high-quality machined parts while meeting production requirements.
  • Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
  • Lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and work scheduled overtime, including Saturdays when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience programming and operating CNC machining equipment.
  • Experience with CNC lathes and CNC mills.
  • Ability to read and interpret machining blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of G-code programming.
  • Strong understanding of precision machining techniques and quality standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Ability to work safely in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Fagor , Fanuc , Haas , or Heidenhain CNC controls
  • Experience machining industrial equipment or custom manufactured components
  • Familiarity with precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges
