A well-regarded Catholic School in Richmond is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher to join our Theology department. We aim to foster students' spiritual development, religious literacy, and understanding of Catholic teachings and other faiths.

About the Role

  • Deliver engaging and reflective Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering Catholic doctrine, scripture, ethics, and world religions.
  • Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, discussion, and personal reflection.
  • Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and theological reflections, providing constructive feedback to support their spiritual and academic growth.
  • Contribute to the spiritual life of the school through participation in liturgies and other religious activities.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Religious Education or Theology.
  • A strong understanding of Catholic theology and the secondary RE curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students in meaningful discussions about faith and ethics.
  • A commitment to the school's Catholic ethos and values.
  • A passion for fostering students' spiritual development and religious literacy.
