About the Role

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering areas such as product design, resistant materials, electronics, and computer-aided design.
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that encourage students to explore design briefs, experiment with materials, and utilize modern manufacturing techniques.
  • Assess student progress through project work, design portfolios, and practical assessments, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the design technology curriculum and participate in extracurricular design clubs and competitions.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design Technology or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and current technologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and experience with workshop equipment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for inspiring students to become creative and innovative designers.
