Accounts Assistant

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier and subcontractor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Verify invoice coding, approvals, purchase orders, and supporting documentation
• Raise and process customer invoices
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting data
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare and post accounting journals
• Support month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Assist with subcontractor ledger management
• Process employee expense claims and reimbursements
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments

• Excellent written and spoken English (essential)
• Previous experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a similar role
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Professional, reliable, and proactive approach to work

Desirable Experience

• Experience working within an international business environment
• Previous experience in the UK or supporting UK-based companies
• Knowledge of UK accounting practices, CIS, or the construction industry
