
Senior Manufacturing Operations Trainer

About The Role
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement data-driven training strategies aligned with manufacturing operational goals, workforce capability requirements, and business objectives.
- Analyze training effectiveness using learning analytics, performance metrics, competency assessments, and operational KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and facilitate instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital learning programs for manufacturing operations.
- Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including curriculum creation, training assignments, compliance tracking, reporting, and system optimization.
- Ensure training records, certifications, and learning data are accurately maintained and compliant with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) governance by coordinating SOP creation, review, approval, revision control, and training deployment.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing leaders to identify skill gaps and develop targeted capability-building solutions.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), process changes, automation initiatives, and digital transformation projects through effective training deployment.
- Create and maintain training materials, work instructions, e-learning content, assessments, and knowledge management resources.
- Monitor workforce competency levels and establish development plans to improve operational excellence, productivity, quality, and safety performance.
- Facilitate Train-the-Trainer programs and mentor trainers to ensure consistent and effective knowledge transfer.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and Adult Learning principles.
REQUIRED
- Diploma in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Education, Human Resources Development, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing operations, technical training, learning & development, or workforce capability development.
- Experience administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) and generating analytical reports.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, operational standards, and workforce competency management.
- Experience developing training curricula, competency matrices, and performance improvement programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with SOP management, document control, and compliance requirement
PREFERRED
- Advanced diploma or professional certification in Learning & Development, Training Management, Instructional Design, Lean Manufacturing, or Operational Excellence.
- Experience with digital learning platforms, e-learning authoring tools, and learning analytics dashboards.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Train-the-Trainer, Project Management, or Change Management.
- Experience supporting Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Automation, or Digital Transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP systems, and competency management platforms.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or advanced manufacturing environments.
SKILLS
- Strong instructional design, facilitation, coaching, and adult learning methodology skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into actionable training strategies.
- Proficiency in LMS administration, reporting, learning analytics, and digital learning technologies.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
- Strong SOP governance, document control, and compliance management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
