As a Graduate Software Integration Engineer, you'll join a team of experienced engineers working on the systems that connect our products, platforms, and customers. You'll gain hands-on experience with modern integration technologies, cloud platforms, APIs, automation tools, and AI-enabled solutions while learning from some of the industry's best.

What you'll be doing
As part of Heartland's Digital Automation & Transformation team, you'll help build and support the integrations that power our digital banking experiences.
You'll have opportunities to
- Develop and enhance APIs and integration services
- Work with modern cloud and container technologies
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product teams and business stakeholders
- Learn best practices in security, scalability and system design
- Participate in Agile delivery teams focused on continuous improvement
- Help shape the future of AI-enabled banking solutions
- From day one, you'll be working on meaningful projects that directly impact our customers and business.
- What we're looking for
- We're looking for graduates who are passionate about technology and eager to learn.
You'll ideally have
- A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- An understanding of programming principles and software development practices
- Exposure to API development, cloud technologies, or systems integration through study, internships, projects, or personal interests
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A growth mindset and willingness to learn
Exposure to any of the following would be a bonus
- Java or Spring Boot
- REST APIs
- Azure or cloud technologies
- Docker and containerisation
- CI/CD tools and automation
- Microservices architecture
- Agile ways of working
- Don't worry if you haven't worked with all of these technologies yet—we're looking for potential, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
