About The Role

Ruth and Naomi’s Mission is a Christian faith-based organization dedicated to transforming lives impacted by homelessness, poverty, and addiction through the love of God. For over 20 years, we’ve been providing meals, shelter, and recovery support in Chilliwack. Today, we serve over 500 meals daily, provide housing to over 200 individuals each night, and walk with dozens of people in our recovery programs.

The Role

We are seeking compassionate, committed Recovery Support Workers to support participants in our men’s addiction recovery program. Using the Genesis Process—a faith-based recovery model—you’ll guide individuals on their healing journey while helping maintain a safe, structured, and grace-filled environment.

This is a casual position, best suited for someone with flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support life skills development and structured activities
  • Offer emotional support and crisis intervention
  • Promote a safe and encouraging recovery environment
  • Collaborate with the team and maintain accurate documentation
  • Assist with group facilitation

What You Bring

  • Training or experience in addiction recovery, counselling, or social services preferred
  • Trauma-informed and harm-reduction understanding
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check (required)
  • First Aid/CPR (can be completed within 30 days of hire)
  • Willingness to uphold and respect Ruth & Naomi's values and mission (personal relationship with Jesus Christ and willingness to sign our statement of faith required).
