Planning and Scheduling Expert
Essential Functions for the Role
- Lead the review and assurance of baseline and revised project schedules, ensuring logic integrity, critical path validity, and alignment with contractual milestones.
- Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) by consolidating inputs from multiple contractors, engineering, procurement, and construction workstreams.
- Define and implement progress measurement methodologies, including rules of credit, look-ahead planning, and performance trending.
- Conduct schedule scenario analysis and “what-if” assessments to support optimization, mitigation strategies, and recovery planning initiatives.
- Provide advisory support on contractual schedule impacts, including Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and forensic delay analysis for claims evaluation and negotiation.
- Facilitate coordination workshops with project stakeholders to validate schedule dependencies, interfaces, and resource feasibility.
- Monitor schedule performance, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions to ensure timely project delivery.
- Establish and maintain scheduling standards, controls, and reporting practices across the Company’s project portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Master’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Project Management will be considered an asset.
- Professional certification such as PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) or PMP will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling for complex, multi-contract capital projects.
- Proven experience in Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development, schedule recovery planning, and forensic delay analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project for enterprise-level scheduling and reporting.
- Strong expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and schedule quality assurance.
- Familiarity with recognized delay assessment methodologies, including TIA, Windows Analysis, and As-Planned vs. As-Built analysis.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure, energy, or renewable projects will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of English language (both oral and written).
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
