About the Role

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Chemistry.
  • Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that incorporate practical investigations, data analysis, and critical thinking skills.
  • Assess student progress through lab reports, presentations, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their scientific understanding.
  • Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Potentially teach A-Level Chemistry based on experience and departmental needs.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science with a strong background and specialism in Chemistry.
  • A thorough understanding of the secondary science curriculum and effective teaching strategies for Chemistry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate female students in science.
  • Strong practical skills and experience in laboratory work.
  • A commitment to the school's ethos of academic excellence and the empowerment of girls.
