About The Role

NOTE: We'll be reviewing applications and invite for interviews starting week 32, so don't worry if you don't hear from us before then! Interviews in August, and starting date as soon as September 1st.

Responsibly ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒฑ

Responsibly is a VC-backed sustainability tech start-up with a vision of making every purchase in the world responsible. Founded by serial entrepreneurs with previous successes like Ofload, Dixa, and Neurons, funded by some of Europe's top VCs and angels โ€” and now cash-flow positive, with the ambition to become the global leader in supply chain due diligence.

Let's change the world together ๐ŸŽฏ

More than 40% of global emissions โ€” and really any ESG issue โ€” are directly or indirectly impacted by procurement. Companies wield enormous purchasing power over their suppliers, so if we can put sustainability on every supplier scorecard out there, we really can change the world. Our AI-powered due diligence engine automates the analysis of every supplier across every ESG data point โ€” from risk and violations to positive actions โ€” and turns it into insights that help companies build more sustainable supply chains. We're now expanding beyond ESG into cyber, financial health, and resilience.

The role: build our content & communications function from scratch ๐ŸŒŸ

Today, our CEO writes all of our content. This role exists to scale that โ€” to build content marketing and communications into one of the three pillars of our commercial engine (alongside partnerships and product-led growth).

This is not a copywriting job, and it's not paid advertising. AI can draft the words; the hard part is orchestrating a strategic, authentic body of thought leadership at scale, powered by the extraordinary data we sit on but barely leverage today. You'll be the person who makes Responsibly the trusted expert voice in supply chain due diligence.

You'll work directly with the CEO, and partner closely with our Data Operations team (our in-house data and domain experts) and our new Partnerships function.

What you'll be doing ๐Ÿ™Œ

  • Set the strategic themes and orchestrate content across channels โ€” deciding what we cover, where we push it, and how we repurpose a big report into smaller, high-impact pieces
  • Turn our data into industry insight โ€” e.g. aggregate incident rates, certification rates, and decarbonization maturity across an industry (chemicals, shipping, etc.) into reports and deep-dives that establish us as the experts
  • Own our social presence โ€” both the CEO's personal LinkedIn (closely together with him) and the corporate account
  • Facilitate partner content โ€” webinars, events, and co-authored material with consultants and clients, where you set the themes and line up the speakers
  • Build our website into a body of expertise โ€” e.g. a page per industry detailing what its supply chain looks like, key risk areas, and what the data says โ€” so any visitor immediately sees us as a partner who can help
  • Solve the authenticity-at-scale challenge โ€” we're a highly AI-enabled company; you'll use AI heavily for generation while keeping a genuinely authentic tone of voice
  • Keep a light eye on what's working on socials โ€” but this role is about strategic orchestration, not chasing vanity metrics
  • ESG / sustainability expertise โ€” you understand supply chain, ESG, or procurement well enough to have a credible point of view and go down a rabbit hole on a topic with our experts
  • Strategic storyteller โ€” you can find the story that fits an audience, understand what they care about, and speak to it; you're energized by strategy, not by pure copywriting
  • Analytical - not afraid to pour a bunch of data into Excel and help generate insights for a report.
  • Commercially minded โ€” you get the intersection of sustainability and commercial/product value, and how content generates inbound
  • Comfortable and excited about AI โ€” you'll be pushed on this front; you see AI as a force multiplier for content, not a threat
  • Self-starter with high ownership โ€” you can build a function from scratch, prioritize ruthlessly, and execute resourcefully (combining your own work with freelancers where needed)
  • Strong communicator in English โ€” our working language
  • Based in Copenhagen, or in an EU country with working rights and excited to relocate
  • Competitive salary & ESOP participation โ€” every full-time Responsibly'er owns a piece of the company
  • Direct collaboration with the CEO and a seat close to company strategy
  • Awesome office at Islands Brygge, right on the water, with amazing lunch
  • Flexibility when you need it (on-site in Copenhagen)
  • Enthusiastic, highly talented teammates from all backgrounds
  • Lots of fun: annual company events and Friday bars
  • Real impact โ€” life is about more than work!
