About The Role

Optimiza is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality backend services and APIs that power our applications. Your role involves ensuring the robustness, scalability, and security of backend systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
Optimize backend performance and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Implement and maintain security and data protection measures.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Ensure system reliability and availability through monitoring and testing.
Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies and industry trends.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer.
Proficient in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or similar.
Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Good understanding of security best practices in backend development.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
