About The Role
The Project Controls Director is responsible for the management of the Project Controls Function across all the work packages/major contracts within the project. The Project Controls Director leads the delivery of Cost Management, Planning / Scheduling, Change, Reporting, Risk, and Information Management for the work packages. 
Key responsibilities  
- Recognized as our regional expert in their respective fields both internally and externally 
- Provide regional technical leadership support to regional pursuits & bids 
- Delivery of respective regional Project Controls team budget (business performance 
- Leadership of people, including engagement and development leadership as well as effective deployment 
- Responsible for the continuing growth of the team, developing a diverse and inclusive culture 
- Lead and assure service excellence  
- Compliance with our Business Management Systems. - contract, risk, health, safety and wellbeing, delivery, finance 
- Lead Health Safety & Wellbeing activities for respective Cost Centre 
- Lead contract execution & compliance 
- Visible regional market presence 
- Securing regional bids for Cost centre 
- Responsible for resourcing and capability build to meet need in region 
 
- Ideally Degree qualified, likely to have come through from a QS or Project Management background. 
- Experience of leading large teams 
- Worked across multiple sectors, both at major project level (delivering project controls) and at programme level (setting up project services functions, processes, systems and providing monitoring, assurance and optimisation services) 
- A generalist, covering estimating, cost, scheduling, risk, change, performance measurement and reporting, with capability to establish the management system (process and procedure) and the information management approach (the project controls tools). Highly conversant with contract strategy and establishing and embedding the project controls approach across the supply chain 
- Experience of working within both client and contractor environments an advantage 
Skills and behaviors required 
- A minimum of 15 - 20 years professional experience as a Project Controls Management for the development and / or delivery of major construction projects 
- Demonstrable success in delivery of projects as a Project Controls Director, specifically in the co-ordination and management of project controls teams
